“The Seven Spirits of God – Part I”

We will pick up where we left off on last Thursday. Time will not allow us to go back over what we spoke about on last time, so we’re just gonna go ahead and jump right into the lesson. So, we are focusing on The Seven spirits of God.

We will once again state that during these chaotic times, there are seven things that you must know. Which when practically stated, we’re actually talking about seven things that you must do, in order to make it during these challenging times.

1). Revelation 4:5- And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Again, God has provided us with the Holy Spirit; which we all know. But there are six other spirits of God, that He has provided us with, that some do not know about. These other six are not equal to/with the Holy Spirit, but you must know them.

Once you know about them, understand them, and began to walk in them, it will be next to impossible for these chaotic times, and the devil, who is producing all of the chaos, to stop you!

FIVE POINT SNTENCE: You cannot be an informed Bible student, and not know about what the Bible calls, the “seven spirits of God”.

God, through His word, the Bible, list each of these spirits by their individual names.  We find that listing in the following verse:

          1). Isaiah 11:2- And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

These are the seven spirits of God:

1). The Spirit of the Lord

          2). The spirit of wisdom

          3). The spirit of understanding

          4). The spirit of counsel

          5). The spirit of might

          6). The spirit of knowledge

7). The spirit of the fear of the Lord

These seven spirits do, provide you with, and perform, seven separate things. They have seven separate functions. You may refer to these as, “the seven ways in which God helps you”.

1). The Spirit of the Lord

This is the Holy Spirit, our Helper and guide. He is ALWAYS with us. (The other six spirits are AVAILABLE).

a). John 14:16-17 (KJV)-  16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

b). John 14:16-17 (AMP)- 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

Fill in the following blank spaces:

Note: Here He is also referred to by another name:  ______  ______________ _____ _____________.

c). John 16:7, 13- Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. 13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will “guide” you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Fill in the following blank spaces:

Once again, He is referred to by another name:   _____  _______________ _____ _______________.

We will make two points here:

First, the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Truth, will “guide” you to salvation, and to daily make correct decisions. Choosing the correct options.

d). John 15:16a- Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you,…

e). John 16:13- Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will “guide” you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

f). Isaiah 30:21- And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

g). Proverbs 3:5-6- Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Secondly, and very important, this is why we find that the Spirit of the Lord listed first, the Spirit of the Lord (Holy Spirit) will “guide” us to repent.

*** If the Holy Spirit doesn’t speak to you, or convicts you, that you’re headed in the wrong direction, a person could be “wrong”, but actually believe that they are “right”.

This is referred to in the Bible as being deceived.

h). Galatians 6:7-8- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Now, this is not always the case. We will refer to this as ½ of the truth. You definitely need to know about the other half.

         i) Hosea 8:7a- For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:

Sometimes we reap more than what we sow. But Satan will never tell you this.

j). Hebrews 10:15-17- 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that He had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

The Spirit of the Lord, the Holy Spirit, does not condemn us He convicts us.
