God’s Plan for Protection!

Good evening! Again, we welcome you to our Thursday evening Bible study. We will go ahead and pray and then jump right into the lesson.

Okay, what we want to focus on is the plan that God has already laid out, and has already put into motion, to help us, protect us, and assist us, during these challenging days.

Now, as we say “challenging”, we’re notsaying that the various circumstances and situations, are challenging to Him!

1). Jeremiah 32:27- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

2). Genesis 18:14a- Is any thing too hard for the Lord?

“We” are faced with some challenging situations, unlike any other challenges that we have ever had to deal with. But:

FIVE STAR SENTENCE: God has never faced a “rough” or a “tough” situation.

So, what is God’s plan for helping us? And, when did He come up with this plan? Bottom line: We will need God’s help. And we will refer to give by a title and call it “heavenly help”.

  1. God’s Plan

The question on the table to be considered is, “Does God have a personal plan, a blueprint, for my individual circumstances and situations? And, does the plans that He and the Trinity drew up, cover and consider my “difficult days”?

1). Jeremiah 29”11 (NLT)- For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

BONUS QUESTION FOR CONTEMPLATION: “When” did God come up with this plan?

When the Covid-19 virus hit, God did not have to scramble to find a way to hold everything together; to prevent chaos!

  1. God’s Schedule

1). II Timothy 1:9 (NKJV)- who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

God came up with 2 things before you were born:

a). A Plan- This plan included “how” God intended for you were going to make it through life.

b). A Purpose- This detailed “what” He personally intended for you to do. He created you on and with a “purpose”. Nobody else like you has ever been created. You are the only on in the entire world, with your set of fingerprints.

FIVE STAR SENTENCE: You are a special made individual.

2). Jeremiah 1:5- Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

What was God’s plan? To give life to a man who would be named Jeremiah. When did God decide that there would be a man name Jeremiah?
Before” Jeremiah was even born. God planned Jeremiah’s arrival into the earth! And he planned yours as well!!!

What was God’s purpose? For Jeremiah it was written: “…and I ordained thee a prophet…”. Jeremiah’s “purpose”, was to preacher. And that plan was written out by God, over 2,000-3,000 thousand years before Jeremiah was even born.

God had a similar plan for a man name Isaiah:

3). Isaiah 49:1b- “…The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

4). Jesus Himself had a “book” (plan, blueprint), written about Him and outlining His purpose for coming into the earth:

a). Hebrews 10:5-7- Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

b). John 1: 14a- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

c). Luke 2:49- And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

d). I John 3:8b- “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

God also has a “plan” and a “purpose” for you, during our current“difficult days”. He chose you, for such a time as this. Why did He choose you? Because He has placed everything inside of you, that will enable you to handle anything that the devil may throw at you. You are equipped to handle this moment, with God’s help.

5). Esther 4:14b- and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

6). Ephesians 2:10- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them

  1. God’s Papers

In heaven, God has some “papers” on you.

         7). Psalm 139: 13-16- 13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Before we were ever born God laid out “plans” (a set of blueprints) for us. This happened “before” you were “conceived” in the womb.

Your “purpose” was recorded and written in God’s “Book of Purpose” before your parents ever thought about you! You came forth to “fulfill” that purpose. That is why you are here.

  1. God’s Summit

There was a meeting held in heaven about you, before you were born. And this meeting centered around 3 things:

1). His Will- “What” God wanted to be done in the earth.

2). His Way- “How” God planned to get it done (to carry it out).

3). His Witness- “Who” God planned to use to do it.

a). Jermiah 23:18- For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

b). I Corinthians 14:40- Let all things be done decently and in order.
